Oh wow, the unthinkable has happened. Well, perhaps not completely unthinkable but it was to me.

My laptop Minto has died.

Yesterday I had just printed off my Bio lab summary. I disconnected the printer and was about to plug in my iPod to update it real quick before I went up to Douglas. Then, all of a sudden, *blip*! The screen went black and it turned off! Not a sign of life to be seen. I tried everything to revive it (disconnecting everything, reconnecting, taking out battery, etc.) but nothing. Finally called Sony tech support and I'm going to receive a box tomorrow in which I will ship Minto back to Sony. They'll most definitely replace all the hardware inside. I'm going to be computerless for two weeks! I already feel so disconnected from the world, heh. I'm on my roommate's laptop right now, it's depressing. That, and I have a Java assignment due the 17th and I really, really don't like having to go to the school's labs even though they're real nice. Rawr!

*sigh* Shit happens I guess, all I can do now is wait for my laptop to get fixed by Sony. And it was almost a year old too! March 24th it would've been an amazing 1 year.

Alright, I think I'm done mourning and being emo.

15 days until Tanya comes!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

OMG. Shiela! I'm so, so, so sorry!

STUPID. CRAP. PIECE. OF. TECHNOLOGY.

I hate computers for doing this to us. We need them so badly that our life stops when they die. *cries for you*

Aww, thanks Frances. I kind of do wish I wasn't so dependant on my laptop, but it provides me with such wonderful goodies like Photoshop CS and intarweb and AIM/MSN and music! *tear* I just hate how I instinctively walk into my room and go towards my desk with hand outstretched to check something on my laptop when I realize that it's DEAD.

Oh well, I'm cheering myself up with a borrowed copy of The Two Towers Extended edition from James. :D

1) sure he would
2) we have recently come to the conclusion that we (somehow) have a fairly consistent world view (somehow)
3) he would never buy it - recycling plants!
4) i hold my views for purely selfish means: it's fucked around with us for far too long now!

It's a good thing you got your summary printed before it died.

Oh, no! That's terrible.

I hope Sony gets it back to you soon.

Being without a laptop for any extended period of time is just no fun at all.

Hey, you can always draw for free time! Or do something you like. OL is not a big part of life, unless I can be wrong. :P

I once took my vid card to tech support. Had to wait more than a week for nothing. :P
