The world makes me giggle sometimes.

Well folks, we've all seen the slew of comic books/video games-into-movies grow into some huge obsessive fad over in Hollywood. Now I've heard tale of live-action Neon Genesis Evangelion, live-action Transformers, there was already live-action Sailor Moon, Doom, etc. But obviously something is missing from this list. Who exactly? None other than the most popular PC game ever. Not for long.

That's right, Warcraft will now become a live-action movie.

*giggle*
I kind of want to see it, purely out of curiosity. Can it really be THAT bad?

Most likely will be even worse. It seems there is not much imagination in this world anymore. At least not in movie producers for some reason as of late. How sad and amusing in some ways.

Don't worry, At least you won't see Counter Strike on the big screens. Or a remake of Mario oh and that reminds me.

There should be a movie about.. TETRIS! XD! Imagine that!

Need I remind you of Dungeons and Dragons?

Even i don't want them to make a warcraft movie. Just because i doubt it'll fit well. That said there certainly is a lot to work with.

I will of course, still go see it and the Halo movie.

A live action warcraft movie...

I'm not convinced that that will be good. In fact, I think it might be seriously, seriously poor.

A lot of it will depend on the story that they use, and there's a bunch of them available - the rise and fall (or the fall and rise) or Arthas, The forsaken (doubt it), Orcs vs. Humans (most likely), the night elves, the founding of Durotar, etc etc.

Or, what I think is most likely is an attempt to do an X3 and cram a lot of major storylines and events into a 2 hour film, thus doing none of them justice.

p.s. - I found your journal because we're both interested in Marks and Spencers and I didn't know that there was a Warcraft film due.

You have some very good points, but then again I'm one that doesn't want to say how much a movie sucks until I've seen it myself. I think I'm just going to download it so I won't hate myself for actually spending money to see it.

I have a feeling it'll just be a whole bunch of storylines wrapped into one movie. That's what filmmakers tend to do I suppose.

And it's nice to see someone else stumbling on my journal! Marks and Spencers = love
